Sure, some
of the
sets are probably enhanced by CGI and the magical transformation is obviously done by
special effects, but the
film doesn't feel saturated in it like some movies do.

set design and
special effects make the
film watchable, and the subject matter is fascinating in and
of itself.
The statue, which nearly 12 1/2 - inches tall, is further accented by a screen accurate costume constructed
of special fabrics to portray her dress's unmistakable silhouette and realistic wrinkles along with a period correct chair and other realistic accessories that complete the
setting and accent the atmosphere from the

As one would expect from the filmmakers behind «The Matrix» and «Speed Racer,» the
film is colorful and filled with top - notch
special effects and action scenes; a chase through the skies
of Chicago moves so fast that it's a wonder
of construction, and it doesn't wear out its welcome like a few other
set pieces, including a climactic showdown on Jupiter (the planet).

Made on the wonderful jungle
sets of King Kong while that epic's
special effects were being finished, this is one
of the great action - horror
films and has provided a template for many «rich sicko» melodramas — the entire «torture porn» subgenre springs from the obsessions
of its villain, Count Zaroff (Leslie Banks).
But the real draw
of this two - movie
set are the excellent new

film, which feature most
of the major players, even Keanu Reeves.
The problem with Harry Potter 4 is that it's free
of subtext for the most part, content to worry itself with sappy love plots punctuated now and then by

set - pieces that revert to the first
film's tendency to stop the action to allow the cast and the audience to gape, slack - jawed, at the spectacle.
