Pluripotent cells can become any of the cell types usually found in the body — although there are certain
special types of tissue, such as placenta, that they can't form.
Recent studies demonstrate the presence
of small bioactive protein molecules (called bioactive peptides) in salmon that may provide
special support for joint cartilage (as well as other
types of tissue).
