more money to be
spent) and dogs are living longer.

more money than you

I guess I feel the same way about a liberal agenda that say that to get out of debt we have to
spend more, or that my tax dollars have to pay for something I
think is morally wrong (Obamacare sets up a fund to pay for late term abortions) or a government that confiscates kids lunches, or tells me how much soda I can drink, or uses my tax
money to choose winners and losers (mostly losers but Obma doners) in energy production that produces no energy yet we are sitting on
more coal and oil
than any other nation on the planet.

spend any
more money at this place where I have a fortnightly direct debit that lately has been nothing

Where has all this
money gone to, and why are we wasting time arguing over 500k, when yes, we could potentially lose the player over penny pinching, as we have done
more times
than I care to
think of, losing club transforming players to other clubs while Wenger is arguing over tuppence, and we aren't
spending the time bringing in players which the club desperately needs to compete.

Wenger would never
spend 51 million on 1 player, he's too cheap & wouldn't like to take that much
money from Stan's account.Don't get me wrong I would love it but AW will never buy
more than one player no matter what happens as he
thinks it will upset the team.
I'm so sick of people telling those of us who are disgruntled fans to relax and give this club time to correct itself... for anyone who believes that taking a wait - and - see approach is appropriate at this juncture they should take a good long look at themselves in the mirror because they are a big part of the problem... no other «big» club's fans would stand for this shit for nearly as long as we have...
think about it, we've witnessed a changing of the guard at every major club in England, Spain, France and Germany in the last several years because those «big» clubs failed to live up to expectations (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Chelsea, ManU, ManCity etc...)... for some reason, many fans have become as fragile as our current manager, believing that there couldn't possibly be a suitable replacement, even though everyone of these clubs have found multiple replacements and still achieved far
more than our club... this mindset has been created by an organization that has been milking it's fans, telling countless lies (no world class players available) and lowering expectations every since they rolled out the biggest lie of all: that we couldn't
spend because of the new stadium but once it was paid off we could compete with any team in the world... this organization is rotting from the inside out and if we don't demand that those in charge put soccer first this despicable behaviour won't end with Wenger's ridiculous 2 year contract... I
think the real fear isn't that a suitable replacement doesn't exist, but that this organization is so
money hungry and poorly mismanaged that we will sink even lower by choosing our next coach the same way they choose our players, on the cheap... even so, we need to see what mustache will do if left to his own devices so he will have to show his true colours... only then can we purge this club and start anew
i am
more optimistic about this summer, however, i really
think we are ready to
spend more money than Arsene is usually comfortable
spending.
Out of this he should
spend that Lacazette
money on Lukaku or Morata or Aubameyang.Morata is a player who I feel should he be given a team where he's the main man he's going to score a lot of goals. There's
more to come from him.I
think he'll do well here. It's a shame he usually warms the bench at Madrid. It makes him seem overrated but he's not.Lukaku has the height, physique, quality, speed, power, technique and finishing that Arsenal need in a striker. He looks like that kind of player who'll bang in a lot of goalsif given the chance in a top team.Aubameyang is very very fast and clinical and at his age he's at his best.If we sign him it's
more likely he'll be here for a while
than most of the two due to his age.
So with Man City having
spent more money this summer on full backs
than most clubs in Europe or even the cash rich English Premier League have
spent on players in total, perhaps the Gunners
think that our England international left back Kieran Gibbs should be worth a pretty penny, but the fact is that if we need to sell him to trim down the Arsenal squad it might be a good idea not to price him too high.

thinking that kept us now for 10 years wanting anything
more than taking a trophy from Wigan (FA Cup)... we are there for better things... managers with less resources have brought joy to their fans... the
money is there you just need to
spend it right drop the deadwood and find the key players it is called MONEYBALL....
For your info I am London based and do have a season ticket, not sure how that's relevant to Wenger
spending money on exceptional players, to be honest I
think playing players out of position, very rarely playing your best goalscorer for ninety minutes, predictable tactics, failing to sign up two of your best players to new deals and many many
more failings helps our opponents far
more than any Wenger out banner or protest.
just reading around and all if not most rags are saying our net
spend is # 46 million how can they tell that when they do nt even know what our real budget is if it was # 100 million then we are in profit by quite a bit i do nt really know what they base there assumptions on this is where you could do with swiss ramble to dissect what really was
spent from what i could see most of our 5 transfers were covered by out goings and c / l
monies earned debuchy - vela deal, chambers - vermalen deal, ospina - cesc and miquel deals sanchez c / l
monies and other
monies recovered from wages and old installment based deals this is the same with welbeck i would imagine if not then poldolski will be sold in jan to cover this as i
think he was going to be sold and this would have covered welbecks transfer
more or less also and people do nt always realize that arsenal have
money coming in from
more than one source to cover transfers not just puma and emirates deals we have property arm of the club which makes
money for transfers also outstanding debts we are owed of old transfers we receive each year on song cesc maybe van persie and all other structured deals in installment payments sales we just flogged miquel as an example and all the
monies from released wages and youths sold its a bit to complex to just say we have a net
spend of xyz when arsenal do nt even make the budget public so they have no starting point from which to go from i bet you we have broke even or even made a slight profit as we are self sustaining it would make sense that we can break even or at least make the net
spend under # 10 million each year at least screw then all we are the arsenal we do thing our way
I
think Wenger will sign a CB (
more «hope»
than «
think» actually) He will either
spend money and buy one (tears in his eyes as he does it) OR Loan one
I can only hope that this attempt is taken
more seriously
than the largely muted and clearly unsuccessful protests of late last season... although the plane writing escapade brought some much - needed attention to the matter, it failed to resonate with fence - sitters and those who had just recently fell off the Wenger truck... without a big enough showing of support the whole endeavor appeared relatively weak and poorly organized, especially to the major media outlets, whose involvement could have significantly changed what was to follow... but I get it, few wanted to turn on their club, let alone make a public display of their discord... problem is, they are preying on that vulnerability, in fact, their counting on you to keep your
thoughts to yourself... who are you to tell these fat cats how to steal your
money... they have worked long and hard to pull the wool over your eyes... they even went so far as to pay enormous sums of cash to your once beloved professor to be their corporate spokesmodel so that the whole thing would be
more palatable... eventually the club made it appear as if this was simply a relatively small fringe group of highly radicalized supporters, which allowed the pro-Wenger element inside the club hierarchy to claim victory following the FA Cup win... unfortunately what has happened to this club can't be solved by FA Cups or a few players coming in, the very culture of this club needs to be changed and that starts at the top... in order to change the unhealthy and dysfunctional narrative that has absorbed this club we need to remove everyone who presently occupies a position of power... only then can we get back to the business of playing championship caliber football, which should always be the number one priority of this organization... on an important side note, one of the most devastating mistakes made in the final days of this hectic and poorly planned transfer window didn't have to do with the big name players like Sanchez or Lemar, but the fact that they failed to secure Jadon Sancho, who might even start for Dortmund this season... I
think they might seriously regret this oversight... instead of
spending so much time, energy and manpower pretending that they were desperately trying to make big moves, they once again lost the plot due to their all too familiar tunnel vision
KM, do you
think any other manager will be given
more money than Wenger to
spend and do you honestly
think that a new manager would but half a dozen players and
spend big for it?
The problem is with ur stubborn attitude.Thing is you
think you can win the premiership on the cheap, but you cant cause you can't motivate the players ffs.Leicester winning the premiership will give you one
more reason to say see i told you we don't need to
spend big
money to win the league, but you had 12 attempts to do so for the past 12 years cause our team for those year was better
than Leicester squad and you still didn't win a thing.Just because you have a mouth doesn't mean you could say anything show some respect for the fans, stop blaming the fans its the mediocre players who you have at the club that needs to blamed. And you as well for not
spending any
money on outfield player in the summer.
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season
than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far
more questions
than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would
think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had
more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find
money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have
spent just as much time on the training table as on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win
more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center
than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded
more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
I ve just read last article on Bale, and some of fans
think he isnt worth
money, LOL if we had Bale this season i am sure we would be first, not Chelsea, and if you
think other big teams wont
spend then start preapering 4th place trophy for next year, we are 3rd team, so we need to
spend more than city or chelsea to even balance our squad with theirs, now imagine if any of them gets Bale, Aguerro and Bale, or Hazard and Bale, means bye bye EPL for many years!!!
I
think spending big and failing would get the manager sacked
more likely
than saving
money and failing.
In simple words a club can
spend a lot of
money (
more than they earn) to get résulte un thé pitch and
more profits off thé pitch (that's what they call the neoclassic theory) in what wenger do nt believe, sadly, his way of
thinking economy is a little bit outdated
This is a decent article, yet the negatives from fans are still there, I would love to see arsenal like I did at the end of the 90's and at the beggining of the 2nd millennium but it doesn't mean in order to do so I would buy all the best players in world, I would get a rich owner to put his filthy
money in, change the manager every 2 years to do so, there's so much wrong in football nowadays that yes it's still a sport but there's
more focus on the filthy amounts of
money being
spent on clubs and players that I
think attracts
more attention
than the game itself, now that is wrong and it's very wrong, even our owner though not like the arabs or Russians, yet the yank is clueless about the tradition of our game, it's just sad, so the fact that Wenger has remained for this long through all these changes that have occurred whilst the
money game has elvolved, it makes me happy that arsenal do not
spend stupid amounts of
money on players, we don't try and buy the league, hell we even tight with wages and transfer fees, I'm glad it's like that, though our season ticket is a rip off I still don't mind it because at least we are not like the other supreme teams, there's a bit of tradition left at our club, yet you go to man shitty or Chelski, there is no tradition, it's all about buying ur way all the way to the top, on the other hand spuds don't know what to make of them besides how the heck have they finished above us?
I
thought that Gazidis's said that wenger has had that budget to
spend on transfers (for the past 4 years) Yet, wenger has
spent more money in that time on contract extensions rather
than spending on signings?
Why did we move out of Highbury?I
think it was solely for financial gain.Fine we now have the stadium and lots of
monies coming in, but would you believe that Stoke city
spent more money on Transfer deadline day on ONE player
than we have
spent in 2 transfer windows?!
FGS if we only
spend the
money we have in the bank (360M) its enough to be a serious chalangers for the CL and win it, I
think they the management don't mind the negative press as they say «any news is good news» in the advertising business, ask your selfs which other club gets
more media
than Arsenal and who has the most live matches on TV,
spurs are almost certainly going to sell a good player this summer and i
think its likely that they will take in
more money than they
spend.
Our recruitment of the lower leagues hasn't been good enough and we've missed some serious talent because we
think money is better
spent abroad, Millwall and Sheffield United have shown this season that league One players are
more than capable if they are the right ones.
I
think under last few managers this would have been the end for Liverpool but under klopp I don't
think this is such a worry I
think klopp is
more about the team rather
than the one player and really
think he could
spend the
money not that I want coutinho sold but I'd be happier now
than I would have been in the last 10 years
Therefore, this is no
more than Pires» opinion on the matter, that he
thinks (not that he knows) that Sanchez is leaving because Arsenal would not
spend money on other players.
It is a fact that our net
spend is less
than the interest the owners receive on loans to the club The
money spent on players only makes up part of what we didn't
spend last year Other clubs
spending about # 60 million outside top 6 We should try for Barkley for # 30m pay Lanzini # 100 k a week which we pay to less good players and plan to play Rice with Reid at CB as he's better
than all the other CB's we have Buying Kone for
more than # 6 mill would be a waste of
money Sunderland supporters
think he's the worst CB in premiership last season!
I
think I actually
spend more money on food for my pets
than I do for my son.
I
think it's a tad
more complex
than that — the least of which plenty of Americans want the military to keep
spending money in their state to keep their economy moving.
To take tax dollars which are scarce, we're
spending more than any other state, we're taxing
more, and giving it to politicians so they could have robocalls and have dinners is not something I
think we should be
spending our
money on.»
Asked what he
thought Cuomo's motivation was for penning the OpEd about the built - in
spending increases, Silver said he believes the governor looked at his proposed budget and determined he's going to «wind up
spending more money than was
spent last year even though he said there would be a cut.»
«I
think as long as they stuck to the idea that we've
spent more money than we have and we can't raise taxes because that's going to drive jobs away and businesses away, then there's going to be a democratic — a small - d democratic — political process that makes better choices on
spending.
«I
think prudence dictates that we pass a budget that is fiscally responsible and I'm not willing to pass a budget that
spends more money than we have a reasonable expectation of collecting,» Cuomo said.
But often the choices we make about how and what we
spend money on have
more to do with our emotions and
thoughts than any real logic.
So, take a look around and
think about what you are
spending on the unhealthy aspects of your life Use that
money to contribute towards your fitness instead, and there is no reason why using a gym or hiring a personal trainer needs to cost you a cent
more than your household budget.
I
think I
spend more time and
money shopping for food for my two boys,
than I do for me!
All of that being said, we still
think it's silly to

I
think more people are
spending more time and
more money on games now
than ever before.
So long as you don't come into The Kingdom expecting to get realistic depictions of contemporary and realistic post-9 / 11 scenarios, this thriller by Berg and Carnahan gives
more than enough fire - power and food for
thought to merit the time and
money spent.
But they are less likely
than were donors in the past to
think that the solution to that problem lies solely or even primarily in
spending more money or even in making the allocation of resources
more equitable, which has been a common thread in work that many better - established foundations have pursued.
«The studies that I'm familiar with say that the inner - city parochial schools, which
spend much less per child on education, do a better job
than the public schools that
spend much
more,» said Scalia, adding «so I just don't
think it follows that...
more money [will] solve the difficulty that the people of Cleveland found with their public schools.»
Along the same lines, parents (53 %) are also
more likely
than the public (46 %) to
think money should be
spent on reducing class size rather
than increasing teacher salaries or buying new books and technologies — unless they are told the relative cost of each policy.
