I haven't tried it in any savory dishes yet, and can't wait to try out
the spice mix on yam fries and I'll bet it's tasty sprinkled on corn on the cob or popcorn.
Combine squash, olive oil, salt and
spice mix on a baking sheet and toss until squash is well coated.

on the train to Amsterdam.
Use your hands to
mix it all together, ensuring every part of the potato has some oil and
spices on it.
I love using
mixed spices on my porridge, but never thought of using turmeric as it seems more of a curry ingredient than for breakfast.

Sure, you can buy these all ready to go at an Indian grocery store or Whole Foods or
on Amazon, but there is nothing quite like the aroma and freshness of a
spice mix you've put together yourself to give your recipe that added zip.
I took a photo of the ingredients list
on Meghan's jar of pecans and started
mixing up my
spices.
Spread the remaining butter over the surface, evenly sprinkle
on the remaining
spiced sugar and all of the
mixed dried fruit.
Mix the

spices and the salmon, but I am sure it would be fine
mixed in as well.
To save the time of opening multiple
spice bottles each time I season a dish, I keep some homemade «blends»
on hand, already
mixed together in larger bottles.

Rub the Cajun
spice mix, the oil and some seasoning all over the chicken, then put them
on the baking tray.
With the dough hook attachment
on, start
mixing on low speed adding in the melted butter, pumpkin puree, 1/4 cup sugar, pumpkin pie
spices and salt.
Gently pat or brush
on the
mix, DO NOT «rub» in the
spices.
In 1939, after trying many different combinations, Gustav found just the right
mix for a top secret blend of
spices that would be the most - used seasoning
on steamed crabs, shrimp, lobster, and other tasty seafood dishes for generations to come.
Directions: Using a mortar and pestle, or a small grinder,
mix garlic, ginger and half of the peanut oil to form a thick paste / Add other
spices, half of the water (1/2 C) to this
mix, stir together and set aside / In a sauce pan, heat the other tablespoon of oil to medium hot, add cumin and mustard seeds and allow them to sizzle momentarily / Add
spice paste, turn heat to medium low, and while stirring, allow to cook for 1 to 2 minutes / Add cauliflower and potatoes, sweet or hot pepper if using / Stir together so that vegetables are coated with the
spices / Add the other 1/2 C water, place a lid
on, and simmer for 10 — 15 minutes, until vegetables are tender / Remove lid and simmer for another 5 minutes / If vegetables are done, remove them from the pan and continue to simmer the sauce until it reduces and thickens slightly — just a minute or two / Add roasted asparagus to the bowl / Spoon sauce over winter and spring veggies, sprinkle with chives.

- about 2 - 3 cups

Simple drain and rinse a tin of chickpeas,
mix them with your favourite
spices, a drizzle of olive oil, sea salt and black pepper, spread them
on a baking tray and roast for 20 - 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celcius, stirring occasionally.
However you
mix it, it's great to have a jar of pumpkin pie
spice on the counter to add a little fall flavor to whatever you're making.
