reads Calvinistic theology into this verse, and assumes that the natural man does not even have the
Spirit, and so translated the verse this way: «The person without the
Spirit does not accept the things that come from the
Spirit of God.»
Israel demanded a king like all the other nations (etc.) Since this thread is about «
reading between the
lines» I suggested the story of A&S because I
read Peter's will at work in this instance, not the Holy
Spirit.
