I believe they never promised 1 year of support like
Splatoon did.
Granted, I think a lot of what
makes Splatoon special is the fact that Nintendo decided to not borrow from existing franchises and series, and instead develop an entirely new IP in the process.

first Splatoon Splatfest is â $ Cats or Dogsâ $ and starts July 4.
The Wii U's action shooter
