Sadly, just like the awesome
split jump move from the first game (and back again here) at least two of these moves are mostly redundant, as there just simply isn't many areas where they can be employed.

But as the other strand (the lagging strand)
splits away, the polymerase working this strand must
move backwards — toward the free end — as it copies, then
jump back to the
split when it finishes each section.
Progression comes through blocks of four races, each of which has to be completed to
move on, and as you
move through the game's championships each of its various tracks becomes available in Single Event modes, while Mini Games -
split between doing enormous
jumps and going through record numbers of checkpoints against the clock - also become available.
The controller that previously used absolute positioning when
moving the cursor around the screen now
jumps around under your fingers as it repositions the cursor when passing across the screen
split.
