Ups are one of my favorite bodyweight core exercises, and this
split leg variation is great because it works both your abs as well as your obliques (the muscles wrapping around the your sides).
This being said, you have the freedom to decide if you want to dedicate your whole workout to the
legs or
split up.

when doing your lifting is it better to
split up your routine,
legs one day, upper body the next, or do a full body routine and HIIT on alternate days?
So you can
split the different parts of your body
up, one day do
legs and back, next day do chest and triceps, and the next back and biceps this way you can work out on consecutive days and still have enough time for your muscles to recover.
If you do a whole body work out you need to take the day off afterwards to recover, you can avoid this by
splitting your work out
up so on one day you could work your chest and triceps, next day
legs and shoulders, the following day back and triceps then the next day back to chest and triceps or however you prefer to
split it
up, as long as you do n`t work the same muscles the next day.
My favorite is the
split squat, and the step -
up and 1 -
leg lying hip extension are great for beginners.
I like single
leg exercises like lunges and Bulgarian
split squats and high step
ups.
Two other excellent single
leg exercises you could use instead of
split squats are lunges and step -
ups.
This can be troublesome for the pelvic floor when performing single —
leg movement patterns in the gym and in everyday life: step —
ups, single —
leg squats, single —
leg bridges, and any position or movement that involves a
split stance such as lunges and

up to 13 intervals for 2 HIIT days and eventually needed to
split it
up into 3 HIIT days with 6 intervals since doing more than 13 intervals was simply just taxing and interfering with our
leg workouts.
