At Jaguar, the R package buys different wheels, an active rear differential together with
sportier active dampers, and more direct steering, as well as substantially bigger front and rear brakes.

Active dampers are an option, as are various larger wheels (up to 19in) that no doubt provide a
sportier feel at the expense of ride quality - though hopefully the new Mercedes A-class will handle all surfaces better than its firmly - suspended predecessor.
Extracost options include Dynamic
Damper Control, which lets you choose between a
sporty and a more comfort - oriented setting, as well as
active cruise control with collision warning and automatic brake actuation.
On activation of SPORT PLUS mode, Porsche
Active Suspension Management (PASM) and, in the S models, optional Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and optional rear axle steering adapt for enhanced roadholding performance by switching to a
sportier damper setting and offering more direct turn - in on entering the corner.
Sport Hybrid models feature the Integrated Dynamics System (IDS) Sport + setting, which biases the
Active Damper System for a
sportier feel.
The
active Bilstein
dampers on all four corners still provide a remarkably compliant ride, even in their
sportier settings, and the roomy cockpit is plenty comfortable.
Other performance changes include a
sportier steering setup, upgraded suspension geometry, firmer springs and
dampers, larger 350 mm front disc brakes and inclusion of the Torque Vectoring by Braking system and
Active Driveline system.
It comes with all types of
sporty enhancements including ceramic brakes,
active - roll stabilization, adaptive
damper control and also variable airbag suspension.
The standard suspension system is obviously
sportier than the regular Polo, but the optional Sport Select configuration adds
active dampers and a
sportier setup.
