To be honest, I love
sports movies as a whole, but baseball movies in particular (it is perhaps needless to say that I love the games).

That's why the
sports agent setting for «Maguire» dovetails so well with its romance and comedy — everyone's taking a risk
as they trot onto the
movie's fields of athletics, business, and love, and having Tom Cruise at its center makes the
whole thing go.
The
whole thing feels more like a TV
movie due to the pedestrian writing and direction, and although it's worth seeing for Smith's passionate performance, «Concussion» isn't compelling enough to incite the kind of reform within the NFL (and the
sport as a
whole) that's desperately needed.
Sure, it has the
whole sports movie vibe for the build - up point of the film: there's a big game to be won, the main character struggles to work
as a team, the coach character is distant and fatherly.
That they were able to include royalty in that mix, reminding everyone of the success Disney's had with The Princess Diaries and a
whole slew of crown -
sporting animated heroines, only ups the profit potential and resulting need to get this
movie out to its young public
as soon
as possible.
