The usual solution
for spot illustrations is to format the illustration with an «align code» that forces the illustration to the right, left or center.
Always entertaining, this picture book features a clearly written text and appealing acrylic paintings that vary from
spot illustrations of familiar patented inventions (Coke bottles, LEGO blocks, a space capsule) to double - page scenes representing the inventor's life.

On one spread, two
large spot illustrations show the weary young girl and the lost and confused wolf cub, each slowed down by the snow.
Middle grade books are much easier to format than easy readers or picture books, especially if they
include spot illustrations only or no illustrations at all, but still so tricky to distribute.

circular spot illustrations, we see the girl, wolf cub in her arms and her eyes wide with fear, face off with a parent wolf.
