orcas, who are still here.
Victoria is one of the top
spots for
Orca (Killer) whale watching on Vancouver Island but you also have a chance to
spot Humpback, Minke and Gray Whales.
While we didn't
spot any, Brad mentioned there were
Orcas nearby only two weeks before our visit.
It is the perfect
spot for wildlife viewing as we share our environment with everything from bald eagles to
orca whales.

Orcas are often

There are 5 Species of Dolphins living in the waters off the southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica:
Spotted, Spinner, Bottlenose (Flipper), Common Dolphin and even
Orcas.

spotted the three
orcas between 9:30 and 10:30 AM on December 29, 2016, in the vicinity of Ranguana Caye and Palm Owens Caye on the Belize Barrier Reef.
A large killer whale, sometimes known as an
orca, was
spotted on December 29, 2016, heading north with another male adult and a juvenile.

Naturally, as the end of the trip approaches, everyone is eager to

But they don't eat krill —
orcas have been
spotted feasting on gray whale calves.
According to the Whale Watch Center, if you're going to try and see an
orca, it's best to shoot for
spotting gray whales first.
