As its name would imply this used to be a site to
spot Hammerhead sharks.

After an observation of pathogenesis in a
hammerhead shark in captivity (which sadly didn't survive), researchers at the Belle Isle Aquarium of the Detroit Zoological Institute decided to try to hatch the seemingly unfertilized eggs their white
spotted bamboo sharks would leave around the tank.
We weren't in the best dive
spot — the Galápagos has truly remarkable locations where you can swim through schools of
hammerhead sharks, for example — but it wasn't bad.
Then spend a day snorkeling with a marine life expert and
spot all kinds of species, including rays and maybe even a
hammerhead shark!
When we encounter the great
hammerheads we usually only see 3 - 4 on a dive if we are lucky but this week on individual dives we have been
spotting 8 - 10!
Large sharks such as the tiger shark and great
hammerhead shark prey on the
spotted eagle ray.
Divers in the Galápagos regularly see whale sharks,
hammerhead sharks,
spotted eagle rays, manta rays, sun fish, and many other marine creatures that are on divers» bucket lists.
There is literally nowhere else in the world where you can swim with hundreds of
hammerhead sharks, whale sharks while
spotting some penguins and marine iguanas.

spotting Dolphins, Dugongs, Oceanic Whitetip Sharks and
Hammerhead Sharks.
Other shark species can be
spotted and they include Nurse Sharks,
Hammerheads and even Oceanic White Tip sharks.
This is the one dive site where even bigger animals are sometimes
spotted: Manta rays, thresher sharks and
hammerhead sharks have all been seen here.
Enjoy
spotting rays, tropical fish,
hammerheads, reef sharks, sea lions, and sea turtles in the water then turn to the land to enjoy beautiful beaches, scenery and land - living animals and plants.
Tiger Sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier), Great
Hammerheads (Sphyrna mokarran), Caribbean Reef Sharks (Carcharhinus perezi), huge Lemon Sharks (Negaprion brevirostris) and
Spotted Dolphin encounters all in one magical place.
Common larger pelagics include oceanic white tips, manta ray,
spotted eagle ray and the ever elusive
hammerhead.
Divers regularly encounter schooling
hammerheads, whale sharks and
spotted eagle rays along with prowling Galapagos and silky sharks.
Napoleons and bumpheads, mantas and eagle rays, thresher and
hammerhead sharks, and even whale sharks have all been
spotted here!
Beautiful corals, big hawksbill turtles, giant manta rays, giant sunfishes, reef sharks,
hammerhead sharks and many more beautiful creatures can be
spotted during a dive.
Hammerheads have also been
spotted here, although there has been damage to the corals by dynamite fishing.
