Postscript: I spoke with Steve Strong, the solar business owner, while a crew from National Energy Audits was in the attic, laying down thick additional carpet of insulation, adding a foil - like radiant barrier under the
roof and
spraying foam into spaces around the perimeter of the house — following our recent energy checkup.

Infiltration: Air barrier system is as follows: existing basement slab with two coats of epoxy paint; taped rigid insulation on inside of foundation walls;
spray foam at the rim joist; taped housewrap on above grade walls; fully adhered membrane on existing
