For toppings, I added roasted butternut squash pieces, but you can also use a spoonful of this cinnamon
pecan pumpkin butter instead, or just
sprinkle some caramelized
nuts.
If you have whole
pecans on hand, and don't have a
nut chopper, simply use a measuring cup or drinking glass to crush them before
sprinkling them on top of the dough.

Whereas now I've figured how to adapt the recipe to my liking by adding in chunky
nuts like
pecans and hazelnuts for a textural contrast, but also learning to love the individual crunchy oats as they're literally the perfect porridge
