You can make a tea from
alfalfa leaves or take it in pill form, but the easiest (and tastiest) way to consume it is probably by adding some
alfalfa sprouts to that sesame
seed bagel you're having.
Alfalfa seeds are a controversial plant to
sprout as they contain canavanine, which some sources say are harmful to humans because it can inhibit the immune system.
Just be careful if you have an autoimmune disease though, as
alfalfa can trigger symptoms due to the
seeds and
sprouts.
