I can no longer count the number of times, perfectionist as I am, have reloaded saves from previous turns just to correct the simplest mistake that lead to a
squadmate dying, an optional boss escaping, a
squadmate returning with injuries that
take too long to heal or botching the mission as a whole and losing valuable intel that can help postpone the completion of the game's main objective.
Generally speaking the friendly AI of your three
squadmates is solid, allowing you to leave them to their own devices without worrying about them getting in trouble, but occasionally they'll refuse to move from spots, won't line up sync - shots, which lets you mark four targets and
take them all down simultaneously, or will sometimes go sprinting past guards while somehow still being in full camouflage mode and not getting spotted.
Your AI
squadmates are more effective now, often
taking down quite a few enemies, but still sometimes get confused when you're needing healing.
Instead, you have to heal yourself with medical kits, and while they are readily available throughout each level (and one of your
squadmates can toss one to you every once in awhile), you'll have to
take things a little more cautiously and deliberately.

squadmates from across the map.
