We've seen plenty of other leaks over the last few months, and most are pointing to
squeezable sides as an alternative input option (
just like the HTC U11), an upgraded camera, and some special photo effects for good measure, like that bokeh effect or blurred background that seems to be everywhere at the moment.
HTC has opted for differentiation with a feature called Edge Sense, a
squeezable frame that lets you launch the camera or Google Assistant by
just pressing down on the
sides of the phone.
Both Pixels will offer dual front - facing stereo speakers, Snapdragon 835 CPU, 4 GB of RAM, running Android 8.0 w / new Pixel launcher, IP67 dust / water - resistance, no headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0,
squeezable sides called Active Edge to activate Google Assistant, music recognition, USB - C w / fast - charging, arrive in 3 colors (
just black, clearly white, & kinda blue) and come in 64 GB or 128 GB storage options.
After releasing an uninspiring bunch of phones over the past couple of years, HTC bounced back earlier this May with its
squeezable U11, which let you do things like launch an app or take a picture
just by gripping it tightly around the
sides.
