stained using hemp oil.
Brussels studio Label Architecture have transformed the interior of a family house in Brussels, Belgium, by covering some
walls in rough, black -
stained oriented strand
board and painting others white.
I used remnant
wall paper and then clear thin / flexible cutting
boards over it to keep it from slipping, tearing and protected from
stains.
My suggestion would be to paint the
wall beneath the barn
board (pallet
board) the same color as the
stain you're using.
The ceiling height, the style of the home, the visual weight of the treatment in the room, the width,
stain or paint color of the beams or
boards and how the architectural feature will complement the floors, windows,
walls and other elements in the space are definitely important considerations.
We're going to pressure wash everything, and try out a semi-opaque dark blue - gray
stain on one of those smoother
boards to see if we can get them looking like the ones on the
wall in the inspiration photo.
It's tiled but we have buckling tiles, flaking
wall board, a
stain on the ceiling below the shower indicating major leaking issues.
If you are
staining a wood skirting
board, remember to protect the joining
wall with tape too.
