You can also use coarse salt to clean
stained cutting boards.
The beets are ready when they can be easily pierced with a fork, be careful of
staining your cutting board, or anything else for that matter - red beets are notorious for that.
Stack recycled wood pallets to create a rustic makeshift table, then incorporate the material further with
a stained cutting board or serving tray.

a stained cutting board to create some contrast with the white jars.

A great way to rinse and rid your
cutting board of
stains is with a slice of lemon.
For the pig
cutting board, I
stained a vintage
cutting board and stenciled the pig on it with black paint.
I used remnant wall paper and then clear thin / flexible
cutting boards over it to keep it from slipping, tearing and protected from
stains.
We purchased 6 black metal brackets from Bunnings and some pine
boards that we
cut to size and
stained using Feast Watson Black Japan
stain (which is my favourite
stain!).
