The only truly challenging encounters are the special boss fights — and often then the challenge is staying focused through a seemingly interminable slug-fest with an enemy whose
stamina bar depletes far too slowly.

depletes very sharply when you are doing anything strenuous, so swinging an axe is hard, hard, work.
Whenever a powerful titan enters the area, you will have to bring it down by first taking out the
stamina bar that appears below its health, which opens up the titan to damage when
depleted.

depleted, you will not be able to use your skills but much like your health, you can use items to replenish your
stamina so you can keep up the good fight.
Each character, including enemies, have X amount of
stamina points which must be
depleted to take away their health
bar.

bars, when your
stamina is
depleted you lose, thus, you want to
deplete your opponent's
stamina bar by beating it out of him.
What's more, there isn't a
stamina bar that
depletes when you sprint either, so you can run for miles without having to stop for a break.
You can't sprint or dodge attacks with your
stamina depleted, so make sure you manage your
stamina bar wisely.
If you
deplete your entire
stamina bar, your character will be immobilized for a few seconds — more than enough time for a monster to land a killing combo on you and send you back to camp.
