Right now the number of apps available for the PlayBook is rather limited, since the tablet can't run
standard BlackBerry apps.
The update will likely bring native e-mail, calendar, and other
standard BlackBerry apps.
RIM should also update QNX by the time the PlayBook 2 releases, with the update bringing native e-mail, calendar, and other
standard BlackBerry apps.

Users who are not in your
BlackBerry Messenger contacts will not show in the threaded SMS within
BlackBerry Messenger, only in the native SMS
app (
standard on lower OS versions or threaded on OS 5.0).
With that being said, the display of
apps on the
BlackBerry Leap isn't really a concern because, well, it's pretty
standard and most
apps were designed with this form factor in mind.

In one of RIM's recent videos demoing their upcoming
BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, product manager Ryan Bidan asserted that even without a smartphone to Bridge it to (thus enabling
standard PIM stuff like e-mail, contacts, memopad, and calendar), the PlayBook is still a great tablet for multimedia,
apps, and web browsing.
Taking advantage of the multi-tasking power of the QNX - based software and the high performance hardware under the hood,
BlackBerry 10 delivers an «always in»
app experience that is faster and so much more compelling than the «open and close» experience which is
standard today on other mobile platforms.

standard BlackBerry smartphone

app, Cisco will stop supporting and selling Cisco WebEx Meetings for
BlackBerry OS 6, 7, and 10, however,
standard dial - in procedures will still work.
The KEYone is preloaded with
BlackBerry applications, as well as
standard Android
apps including Google Chrome, Google Maps and Gmail.

app is available via all carriers on
standard cell phones and smart phones including
BlackBerry, iPhone, Android and the Palm webOS.
