We note that Lenovo has included a small utility that switches the color profile of the display for user and task preference, from the «Native» setting with the most vibrant colors to a «Standard» setting that's muted somewhat, with additional settings for photo editing, video editing, and reading modes.

We then tested both displays in standard mode (as opposed to adaptive mode), and the screens dropped down to 6841 and 6891 Kelvin, respectively, which is much closer to the recommended temperature of 6500 Kelvin for color accuracy.

As standard it's set to a mode called Super Color, which has a classic OLED - style oversaturated look, much like a high - end Samsung phone.

When the display is set to the standard mode (rather than the default adaptive mode), the colors are warmer at 7131k.

The one that may interest photographers is Photo mode - uses Adobe RGB broader color gamut instead of standard sRGB.

On the top you find five options starting from the flash, shallow depth of field mode, photo colours (Standard, Vivid Colors & Smooth colours), filters (9 to select from) followed by the option to switch to the front camera.

The vibrant mode makes the colors pop a lot more and it looks better (at least in our opinion), and the standard mode is a bit warmer than the vibrant mode.

You can also adjust the display to suit your taste with the following Screen Color mode options; Super Color, Bluelight Filter, Standard, and Customized.

Sony's software also allows for tweaking of the screen's white balance and there are three different color modes with professional, standard, and super-vivid that will alter the screen's color gamut and contrast.

Standard mode is the default setting for the display and this ups the vibrancy for a more vivid look and uses Sony's TRILUMINOS color gamut instead.
