Almost turned these into muffins, but the dough kept together enough to cut into 8 wedges (I've made this recipe 15 - 20 times over the years
with standard flour, so I had an idea of how the dough should look and feel.
(Sorry don't know the US equivalent) My American cousins make it with
standard flour — and sour milk!
Is there going to be
a standard flour mix that will make most of the recipes.
In a separate bowl, sift the flour, cornmeal and baking powder using
a standard flour sifter.
