I initially
started the
blog as a way to post photographs
of my interiors in the hopes
of being featured on one
of Apartment Therapy's home
tours, and fortunately I was selected.

Three months out from publication date and I was
starting to sweat blurbs and reviews and set up
blog tours and take care
of promotional ideas and... well, focus got to be a challenge.
There are other
blog tours out there, as I noticed when doing some research,
started by a person in particular that is mentioned in each version
of the
blog post.
Have a
blog tour and organise additional targeted advertising campaign strategies to kick -
start some visibility
of your book.
But within in a week
of starting the
blog I read a comment that Stacey posted on Jon Konrath's
blog, asking for authors with websites to help him with the
blog tour of his latest book.
In addition to all the other
blog «appearances», reviews, and author interviews that can result from a Virtual Book
Tour, we also make sure to get each
of our author's virtual
tours off to a great
start by giving them a «
tour stop» at one or more
of our social community channels, whether it be a link from our Twitter account, a video uploaded to our YouTube Channel, or an interview on our
blog.
I also signed up for a 5 - day book blast
blog tour at the end
of December /
start of January that includes 11 different
blog stops with a mix
of reviews, interviews, spotlights and guest
blogs.
Start your
tour at least a week in advance
of your release date so followers — yours and the
blog's — can begin to look forward to your book's launch.
As you know I am a fellow debut author, and now that my own launch hoopla and
blog tour mania is behind me, and those fickle Amazon ebook rankings settle, book club fiction like ours will
start its slow progression through the book clubs
of America, seeking its true readers through old - fashioned word -
of - mouth recommendations.
So far I have sent out review request letters one has gotten back to me and agree to review my book, I have
started researching book clubs in my genre, and I have joined communities and discussion groups online but my sales are still scant, I have heard
of the
blog tours but I feel discourage, in my mind I can't figure out what I have to offer as a gust blogger but like you said I have to change my frame
of mind because I do love my book and I'm proud
of it.
Blog tours start and end on designated dates, the goal being to generate a certain amount
of publicity within a certain amount
of time.

of blog, podcast, or social media channel] a «stop» if you're interested.
