Just before classes and college life started again, I thought it was time to shoot a new outfit.

We had a few days of shooting planned, the rest was celebrating the start into the new year.

The one time I tried to use the DSLR in New Orleans, I found the perfect location and the perfect lighting and there was a crowd of about 100 junior high kids that came down the street as soon as we started shooting.

In this transitional life phase, I've found new hobbies (I started hand - lettering, watching how - to videos on DSLR photography, going to the shooting range — next up, actually going to classes for these hobbies where I can meet new people at said classes) and hung out with co-workers outside the workplace.

I've started shooting with a new photographer, and I quite enjoy our work!

We might possibly be moving in the next few months so unfortunately my tutorials have been on hold until we get settled in the new place: / But I should be back up and running to start shooting some tutorials in about a month

It's finally starting to feel and look like spring here in New York, however I'm still having dreams of California, and that means reliving one of my favorite outfit shoots with Kristi... visiting the beach in Santa Monica!

We started roaming my new neighborhood on one of those perfect May days looking for shoot locations and before long, I felt like I was just hanging out with a dear friend I hadn't seen in a long time.

It's been one crazy week for me but I'm happy that my MacBook is working, I finished working on my last photo shoot after starting all over (but on to a new set of photo shoots next week), and I can finally go back to working on the blog (for reals this time).

We're hanging in Connecticut this weekend and hoping to get some projects done around the house so I can start shooting a few new interiors posts for the blog.
