Lotte and I cycled to the place where we
shot the first ever
outfit photos for Thoughts in Style and we chose the perfect day to take photos there because the leaves
started falling and it was also kind of foggy.
Just before classes and college life
started again, I thought it was time to
shoot a new
outfit.
Figured I'd share where the
start of my
outfit shoots begin... with my foundation!
Just because I love summer doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to some fabulous fall looks... which I will
start putting together this weekend (tons of
outfit shoots in the works)!
Browsing through all the gorgeous style blogs daily made me want to deviate from my original intent with the style and
outfits I publish; I
started to do more — make up, fancy shoes, putting looks together I would only wear for a
shoot and never for a real outing.
Sometimes when we
shoot an
outfit and I look at the pictures afterwards, I seriously
start asking myself how the hell I did put together this utterly strange
outfit.
In this
outfit from Monday with a heavy knitwear cardigan I almost
started sweating during the
shooting.
One was perfect for
shooting and so I dressed up in a comfy but still very feminine
outfit and we got it
started.
This was actually our first test / impromptu
outfit shoot (hence the photo quality isn't as great as the previous post), but I wanted to share with you guys anyways since it is definitely
starting to feel like summer in Seattle!
We
started the day
shooting an
outfit in the morning at the Flatiron District and guess who we saw there
shooting too?
We entered the park about 10 minutes after it opened and went to make our fast pass appointments, I
shot my first
outfit and of course shortly there after it
started to pour down rain!
So let's
start things back off again with an
outfit post —
shot when we were on vacation at Mt. Hood!
It was so funny since right before we
started shooting I said to my photographer that a little dog would be the perfect accessory for this
outfit.
I wore this
outfit during my busiest day: I
started with the agnès b. show, I had a
shooting after that, attended the Valentino show, the Shiatzy Chen show and Paul and Joe.
I really want to
start doing more
outfit shoots, wish I had a photog around!
We already
started to
shoot the first
outfit the past saturday but still have to
shoot a few more
outfits this saturday.
As soon as I had a
shot of tequila and a Blue Hawaiian in my hand, things
started going downhill from there... and all hopes of getting some great
outfit shots were lost.
Starting from me putting together the most perfect masculine inspired
outfit featuring the white Levi's straight leg jeans and my favourite fedora hat, and ending with actually finding the
shooting location that does its justice.
It's finally
starting to feel and look like spring here in New York, however I'm still having dreams of California, and that means reliving one of my favorite
outfit shoots with Kristi... visiting the beach in Santa Monica!

Starting out I was completely lost on this and am still trying to narrow down an organized routine.
I wanted to
start off the New Year with a cheerful
outfit post, so I chose this colorful look that I
shot a few weeks ago when it first snowed in New York.
It can be a flat lay, wardrobe
shot or a stack to
start then a daily
outfit (ask a friend or the fella to snap one), a mirror selfie or you can wait and share a grid of many looks together.
More practically, if you're running an
outfit that's hungry for talent and want a
shot at folks in DCPS, you'd do well to
start working the phones sooner rather than later.
