I've recently had to cut back
on my tomato intake and
started to use sauce made from
beets and yams.
But we can not
start the year with that mindset and we must charge
on and tackle the New Year with great spirits, convictions and healthy Berry
Beets Smoothie Bowls (plus mucho coffee).
I looked forward to this
beet juice, and
started to crave the combination that made up the juice (
beets, a variety of greens, apples, etc.) so much so that I knew I had to put a juicer
on our wedding registry list.

For the fried golden
beets (I generally get these
started while the soup is cooking
on the other burner): heat a sauté pan over medium - high heat.
