I started on coconut oil 3 weeks ago.
Aside from those who tout the benefits as «an expert» who has studied what everyone has written, there are many people who make comments on all of the videos and articles about coconut oil how they had their HDL and LDL tested after
starting on coconut oil and they improved dramatically.
So I have
started myself on coconut oil and I am going to see how the next year pans out.
And let's not get
started on coconuts + coconut water!

The idea of putting
coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, turmeric, honey and spirulina
on my face would have seemed beyond crazy, but as I
started to nurture my body with foods that it loved I
started to become conscious of everything else I was doing and whether it was really the most loving thing to do for my body.
My final
coconut oil use is for oil pulling, this is a pretty interesting topic and requires a fair bit of explanation so I'll save this for another post — but it involves swirling
coconut oil around you mouth every morning to clean it out, sounds crazy but it's awesome and something that I've really come to love despite a lot of scepticism
on the topic to
start with!
The only red lentil recipe I've got up
on the blog so far is my Sweet Potato, Spinach &
Coconut Dahl but I'm sure that will soon change with the arrival of the colder weather when I
start to crave those comforting dishes mentioned.

coconut flour and almond flour recipes... and I'm happy to oblige because that's mostly what I find myself using these days.
Start by melting 3 tablespoons of

I
started using

on my face but I then noticed I would burn faster.
While freezing gets
started, melt
coconut oil and chocolate in a small saucepan
on low heat.

Hydrogenated
coconut oil is virtually non-existent in the US market, since the FDA
started requiring trans fats to be listed
on labels several years ago, and is now considering banning them altogether, as some European countries have already done.
I have
started having a few cans of this
on hand for recipes that require a more pour - able liquid than is offered by full - fat
coconut milk.
Recently my dude and I have been consciously making an effort to cook «more exciting» breakfasts / brunches
on the weekends, other than scrambled eggs and avocado toast (nothing wrong with that of course, but sometimes you just need to change things up) and we
started last weekend with these Brown Sugar, Blueberry and
Coconut Pancakes!
Chop your onion and garlic into small pieces and
start to cook them in a sauce pan
on the
coconut oil.
Then she went ahead and
started to make delicious
Coconut Water Coolers all
on her own (except I chopped a few strawberries for her + took these adorable photos).
Then I
started putting
coconut oil
on them every night for a week and suddenly the huge crevices just closed and healed.
Now, my skin tend to be
on the drier side, however, after I
started using
coconut oil, my skin has never been better, even during the dry winter months.
I have used
coconut oil for about a year now as an all over body moisturizer when I get out of the shower, and
started using it a couple of weeks ago
on my face after my shower and at night before bed.
I have
started using
coconut oil
on my daughter's skin (6yo) to fight her persistent eczema... and it's working!

Assembly
Start with laying down the
coconut sheets one
on top of another, two pieces at a time.
In a very large pot, combine the
coconut oil and the diced onion and cook
on medium heat for 5 - 7 minutes until the onions just
start to brown.
I
