By comparison, just 38 percent of students in traditional public schools
met state reading standards this year, and 36 percent did so in math.
Despite their close proximity, Lincoln Elementary enrollees are nearly twice as likely to meet or
exceed state reading standards, 37 percent more likely to be proficient in math, more than twice as likely to excel in science.
Both the complexity and the level of detail
in state reading standards are important areas of analysis because they are likely to impact the development of local systems of curriculum, instruction, and assessment in ways that will significantly effect student achievement.
