A few years ago, the Mortgage Bankers Association released
a statement claiming the average mortgage application file contains over 500 pages!

IPCC
claims to know this (as expressed in its attribution
statement regarding «most of the observed increase in global
average temperature since the mid-20th century...»), but as our hostess and others have pointed out, there is much too much uncertainty regarding natural factors to make such an assessment with any degree of certainty.
[Note that many
statements and press releases on the subject of wind do not clarify whether they are talking about «peak», i.e., nameplate, or «
average», i.e. the nameplate x capacity factor — it is essential to clarify this before putting any weight on the
claim].
Exactly, but using good numbers not a «hotchpotch assembly» for which it is
claimed to be global temperature (there is no such thing, there is global energy content, but that is totally different story) So calculate correlation CET - GT from 1880 using 5 year bin
averaging http://www.vukcevic.talktalk.net//CETGNH.htm P.S. your
statement on natural variability on decadal scale is grossly misleading, you got about 130 years of good records so you need to look at multi-decadal picture.
And as Judith Curry points out about the current climate, there are many problems with the
claim that «more than half of the observed increase in global
average surface temperature from 1951 to 2010 was caused by the anthropogenic increase in greenhouse gas concentrations and other anthropogenic forcings together» — far from speaking for itself, the
statement needs unpacking and its premises interrogating.
Intel's
statement also shot down
claims that patching the flaw could lead to PC performance slow down by up to 30 %, saying that, «Contrary to some reports, any performance impacts are workload - dependent, and, for the
average computer user, should not be significant and will be mitigated over time.»
