Every year new teachers do a lot more than
stay in their classrooms too late and struggle to control classrooms.

Many observers might
stay seated and off to the side
in the attempt to not disrupt the natural flow of the
classroom — but their very presence makes it
too late for that!
As much as I would like to sit down and do some grading, or prepare other work while my students are supposed to be engaged doing productive individual practice, if I want my students to take the individual practice seriously, I have to move around the
classroom like a bee going from flower to flower, not
staying too long
in one spot.
You might be able to watch something once and turn around and teach a group of people, and that is awesome, its
too bad you chose not to
stay in the
classroom, if you were indeed ever there.
