of my own brokenness, in the repentance, in the secret telling and the secret keeping, in the suffering and the mourning, in the late nights tending sick babies, in confronting fears, in the all
of a life.
I consulted for a new
restaurant (
stay tuned), found
out I can indeed write in Starbucks (if I'm on deadline) and discovered that if you do one thing at a time, the odds
of being both efficient and hyper ventilating less are increased many fold.
My mom and sister like to go shopping and then the movies, I like to
stay at home and bake alllll day and indulge while we watch our favorite TV shows, and my dad (the odd one
out) likes to go to the gym and get all
of us to attend a workout class together, then go home, relax, watch some TV, and then go
out to one
of his all - time favorite
restaurants.
We love
staying in and focusing on each other instead
of being
out in a noisy, crowded
restaurant.
Meanwhile, streets and
restaurants that had been emptied
out a day earlier once again sprang back to life as people decided they could no longer
stay indoors
out of fear.
For example, you can decide whether to eat
out or
stay in, but after you have eaten the first piece
of bread from the
restaurant breadbasket, your instincts take over and make you eat several pieces until you are satisfied.

In conclusion, I would recommend future FN students to plan ahead early so they can get Anne Frank House tickets (they come
out 2 months in advance), walk around all
of the canal streets (since there are tons
of excellent
restaurants and shopping), visit the Red Light District (just for the experience), and
stay more than 2 nights if possible - it definitely was not enough with how much you could do!
This started pre-trip with good advice on which part
of the island to
stay (given our holiday preferences), picking us up from the airport, arranging for a car and - throughout the vacation - giving great tips on things to do and which local
restaurants to check
out.
There are also plenty
of 24 - hour drugstores,
restaurants, etc. in the blocks around the Plaza Suite so if you like to
stay out late, this area is for you.
The condo has everything you need and want for a chilled
out relaxing
stay on the beach, which includes fabulous views, an incredible location and conveniently - should you not want to cook - it's right next door to Kiabo beach bar and
restaurant with an extensive menu
of food and drinks (the pizza is really good as are the mudslides!).
