Our first advice to tyro voyagers in the Savoie: The items you will need
most are 1) a
car with front - wheel drive and chains, since you will be driving on some of the
steepest, slipperiest, narrowest goat paths in the civilized world, and 2) a really thick — no less
than two inches — paperback French and English dictionary.
The lift gives an additional 60 mm of ground clearance at the front, more
than enough to raise the
car over pesky speed bumps, clear
most curbs and to increase the ramp angle enough to get into
steep multi-storey
car parks.
The Fiat 500C price may look a bit
steep to
most city
car buyers already though, as Fiat charges quite a premium on the model — more
than # 2.5 k over the regular 500 hatchback.
