I am chipping away at losing weight
with a moderate whole - foods - plant - based
diet (including some less than perfect foods in smaller and smaller portions)
because I am looking for something I can
stick with for life.
I find it easy to
stick to a «Keto» or low carb / high fat
diet and don't miss carbs at all (partly
because I know the pain of misophonia that comes
with them, & to simply just give up carbs to get rid of it is an easy trade - off in my life).
In fact,
because I was never overweight and I'm not an athlete, this freedom from pain has been my main motivation for
sticking with the
diet.
I tried the primal
diet then but I only
stuck with it for about a month
because of the fat (calories!!!)
That's
because even if I managed to
stick with one of these
diets for a couple of weeks — and in most cases they were so stressful or difficult that I couldn't — whatever weight I lost I quickly gained right back the minute I stopped following the
diet.
Anyway, my partner and his whole family has always been having high blood pressure issue, and his father and his uncle died fairly young
because of a heart attack, he has been on a vegan
diet for almost a year now, his blood pressure is back to normal, from 150/100 to 115/70, he was so shocked by that as he didn't take any medication at all, that reinforce the idea that he should
stick with his
diet.

The problem
with raw meaty bones is not giving weight bearing ones of larger mammals
because they are too hard and the dogs could break teeth I
stick to rabbit and chicken if they get bones in their
diet [we feed a raw prey model
