I
still feel part of the Folksy
community, and I think that's mainly down to Folksy admin keeping in touch with their sellers, either via Twitter, forums or through the blog.
I handled it myself and
felt it was important somehow that despite all their disruptions, they
still remained in the classroom to absorb what they could and be a
part of a
community.
However, even though most have left to find a better life, many
of the older people tend to long for the life they knew when they were young - a time somewhere in the short period following the northern migration
of the children and grand - children
of the former slaves, when it was
still possible to
feel part of a small
community in the big city.
While I
still swear by solo travel as a number one tool for personal growth, the last couple
of days made me realise something... I've never written about travel as a shared experience which allows you to
feel part of the travel
community!
All
of this is a big
part of why working with MT and working with blogs
still feels more like participating in a
community than «just a job» to me.
How many realtors you know that will spend the whole weekend with you visiting homes in neighboring towns... On one Saturday we saw 16 homes in 3 towns... My wife and I wanted to get a
feel for the
communities being we were new here and she was superb to say the least... we were able to determine which town met our needs because
of this... Signe and Ryan are the most honest and humble professionals we have ever team up with... they made our challenge theirs and were willing and were able to do whatever it took... the best
part, they were able to negotiate a $ 30,000 discount from the sales price
of the home... The home we bought was not in an area that would be considered a buyers market, it was a sellers market but they were
still able to save us $ 30K... Now that is what the Denny Real Estate Group is all about... it's not about them, it's all about «YOU»... I wholeheartedly recommend this realtor for all your real estate needs... Oh and by the way, we wanted to have some work done on the home and they put us in touch with professionals that were fantastic and inexpensive saving us even more money...
