dating, and this makes it just a much more accessible product.
Still, I've always sort of
felt out of place, which has made
dating a
bit of a challenge.
But reviving the film is not a bad idea from a sociohistorical perspective: Humbled by the previous decade's grotesque materialism, Nineties filmmakers generally
felt like they were living down the Eighties and made a concerted effort to protect their product from
dating itself *, but Reality
Bites, with its Hughesian affectations, at least strives to be seminal — only Cameron Crowe's Singles, the Brady Bunch movies (which star
Stiller's future wife, Christine Taylor), and the excrescent Empire Records so unabashedly embrace their pre-Internet moment.
The gameplay mechanics
feel a
bit dated and it
feels odd that the game doesn't provide better use of the 8 year old PS3, but there is
still plenty of fun to be had in this package.
The writing
still feels like a
bit dated and you really need to be all - in on the bro - tastic humor from the beginning to really enjoy what you're about to get into.
The gameplay is
still fun at its core, but knowing just how much depth the sequels added to the equation, it's easy to
feel that the original Smash Bros. is a
bit dated.
The game does hold up quite well and the jokes are
still funny today as they were 20 years ago, but from a visual, audio and pacing stand - point — while
still charming in its classic retro way — the game does
feel a
bit dated compared to games of today.
The bulkier design on the Mate 7 is
still very nice, but personally I think the phone
feels a
bit more
dated.
Though the Tab S2 8.0
feels a
bit dated in terms of its plastic back and Micro-USB port — particularly when compared to the new Tab S3 — it's
still incredibly thin and light with a great screen.
These scenarios that come along with a busy lifestyle are familiar to most of us: When your
date arrives at your place while you're in the middle of an important phone call, you gesture for this person to come in and finally get around to greeting each other 10 minutes later,
still feeling a
bit frazzled from your conversation.
