To be fair because these players flopped in their respective clubs does not necessarily mean Te would have flopped at Arsenal because if you want to use such harebrained and short - sighted analogy then you can blame Wenger for the many many players hw could have signed who later turned out world class later, CR7, Zlatan just to mention 2...... like it or lump it Wenger is overcautious and indecisive in the transfer market nowadays...... you win some and lose some, no manager in the world can boast a 100 % success rate when buying players...... I know the jury is still out on Martial but personally I respect LVG's courage, conviction and decisiveness in identifying him and going al out to get him, Wenger need to show such attributes more!!

What a failire he's become. He was bought as the man supposed
to lead the line and send us
to glory and now he becomes a so called super sub.I don't get it.France's leading striker is a super sub at Arsenal.Since he came here he's part of the reason why we've not been able
to win the league. He's also part of the reason why Wenger remains hesitant in signing a world
class striker since for some reason he
still believes in him. He's really affected Arsenal a lot which I don't kbow if many have realized. At times playing with him is like playing with no striker at all. This inconsistencies won't help us at all
going forward We have absolutely zero quality in striking department.
Xhaka does not deserve
to be in the lineup more than anyone. As bad as Ozil is at least awe can say form is temporary
class is permanent though he also does not deserve
to start. Why is Coquelin not playing instead of Xhaka?Even Elneny is a better buy than Xkaka.I don't care what kind of performance Xhaka has today. Why should a player be allowed
to go off form and
still be in the starting eleven while other players should be taking his place?Poor management from.Wenger.It's not fair at all.Mark my words that Xhaka won't last in the lineup when Wenger is
gone and I can see some youngsters like Maitland - Niles and Kelechi Nwakali surpassing him in the future. The guy can't defend
to even save his own life.
our rivals all have good squads but they are
still bringing in stars every season and improve their team, we are virtually 3 signings away from having one of the best teams in our history, and again they talk about having a good squad, we need an upgrade in goal, ospina is solid but when someone like cech is available you
go for him, we need a DM
to share the duties with lecoq, and we for sure need a new world
class striker, and yet we wait and all our targets are heading in different direction.
i guess if Luke never lost his belt, he would
still be at MW as a champ, and would saying that he has no problem with weight cut since he was MW most of his career (similar as RDA and many others)...... and if they don't succeed at new weight

go to previous one.....
I know Arsenal all too well and trust me we would've
still lost.A lot of people think this Arsenal squad isn't good enough
to win the league but I beg
to differ.Give this same squad
to Rafa Benitez or any world
class manager even without any signing before the transfer window ends and watch us play like you've never seen before. The problem in this team has always been tactics, mentality and mismanagement. This is what has really been disturbing us for several seasons but alwas
goes ignored.Mark my words that if Arsenal get everyone they're supposed
to we're not winning the league if those three things aren't checked. We need signings but our problem is much bigger than signings.Give this same squad
to Klopp or a too manager and you'd be shocked some players who were called average will be playing differently. You know why?Strong mentality, proper management and good tactics count.

class player with Chelsea... Have some patience, he
still has a long way
to go.
Big in your list I can agree that all these players would improve us, but let's look at our CB At the moment Kos, top player but is struggling with a inj which may or may not heal, at the moment he isn't match fit so not up
to his own high standard, so needs help or a defender of his quality so he can
go and recover properly So then we have Mert, too slow and no longer good enough, I'm not sure if he's even good enough for 3 rd choice CB, too slow, poor on the air for his size and not brave enough, he's lasted this long due
to Kos he needs a Top
class CB just
to allow him
to play against average teams Ok now Reid not top
class we can all agree so we couldn't really play him with MERT as he isn't Kos quality so can't cover merits deficiencys He could be ok with Kos but Kos is struggling So is Reid what we need???? And finally Wenger if he has all 3 fit will
still play Kos / Mert first choice Oh and God forbid we play MERT / Reid against the top teams like Chels / city / utd / Southampton Chuckle chuckle
Of course Ox / Walcott / Campbell isn't the world
class we should
go for, but Ox
still has some potential
to reach high if he only works his ass off with dedication.
its ridiculous and embarrassing and
goes to show that the real agenda from both wenger and the board is keeping the books straight its the continual party line of «in the summer, we'll do this» then the player is unavailable there used
to be a time not that long ago when you knew that whoever they brought in was
going to be
class, now you know that whoever they bring in will be cheap and wont do much of a job, Sanchez has been the only real good bit of transfer business and I mean really good bit since we were supposed
to be free of financial restraints makes you wonder if we ever really had any as its
still not changed.
The board and Stan Kroenke are
going to be around for a long time
still, nothing we can do about that, but I think Arsenal simply need a change for better or worse because let's be real, unless Wenger brings in another three world
class players ASAP and gets rid of the deadwood we will experience exactly the same thing next season.
Up front we have a few world -
class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him
go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world -
class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due
to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get -
go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough
to overcome such difficulties: not
to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming
to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he
stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this club's failure
to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled
to take their sideways soccer
to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
But AW needs
to buy 4 more players we had MD
go in jan MA MF TR CJ out for a year DW out for a year and more and then he says we need 2 - 3 in sorry we need
to buy a captain we need
class up front that can put 25 in the net coz O G just don't cut it at all sorry 4 months and yet he
still played him but left T W on the bench when you say
to the kid now
go prove yourself.
if Sanchez wants
to go, let him
go please... we are Arsenal, we can
still attract world
class players, with or without Wenger
A comparison I would make is
to a student who studies and gets an A and a student who never studies, never
goes to class, parties all the time, and
still gets a C + / B -.
Should this even be a topic?Giroud is a player of average quality always surrounded by good players.I just don't get. It's as if only Arsenal fans rate him. This was a player who was bought
to be the leading striker at Arsenal and after his years of failure which many deny he's now become a super sub?How laughable is that. From failure
to super sub.If the so called world
class striker we're signing
goes out with an injury for about five months who comes in then.It seems
to me people lack vision. Why is it always Giroud Giroud Giroud? After so many seasons people are
still debating what souldn't even be debatable.I've lost count of the number of times he's been talked about here. This is the problem with our club. It's just not ruthless. This is a player who should have been
gone long ago but due
to him being French he
still gets the chances. We won't miss him when he
goes and I'd like
to see if he'd stand out in a smaller club.
Let's get real here.It is very unlikely that ANY professional player will ever say anything derogatory about a teammate that has just left the club.If Jack had said about Coq - «Grew up playing with him in the Youth Team and have fond memories of a player they though he had very limited ability he always gave his all.Very surprised and disappointed the club never invested in a World
Class defensive midfielder that we have quite obviously been lacking for a number of seasons and would no doubt have improved the defensive weakness we have shown over a number of seasons» we would have echoed his thoughts entirely. If he had said about Theo - «A player who should have been so much better than he ended up being. He had everything needed to be a prolific player for our club but I can understand the fans frustrations with his continued lack - lustre performances and total lack of a football brain.I think this is best explained by the managers preference to play a player of such limited ability as Alex Iwobi in front of Theo pretty much says it all» we again would have all nodded our agreement.Although Jack never mentioned Alexis Sanchez I would imagine something along the lines of «If the Manager had not persisted with players with such limited ability such as Francis and Theo and instead bought the world class players needed into the club then Sanchez would still most likely be here. The fans must wonder what the hell goes on at the club as they pay fortunes for the privalage of following our club but it seems the millions generated ends up purchasing a new Texas Ranch for the Owner or in a yearly renumeration of # 9million pounds to our manager&ra

Unlike many I'm not scared at all if he leaves. You know why?Because I've seen better players leave the club and seen where we ended up.He's very good and world
class but not as good as many think.Forget stats for a moment and look at his quality.I also hope the mistake of keeping Mr. Hold up at the club would not be made. Here at Arsenal we compromise a lot and we always ignore the cracks until it's too late.Wait till Lacazette
goes for a three or four month injury. Then we'll know we never learn.I hope Bellerin doesn't make this mistake of leaving Arsenal. He has so so much
to learn.His game
still lacks that something.He needs
to know how
to maximise his potentials and be consistent. That will only come with more playing time and patience.Arsene should not even think of letting him
go as we will have
to spend money on a RB and besides we need him.
We're
going to waste time and money on a CB when we should be looking for a top
class DM.If Wenger think signing another CB is solving our problems then he's lying
to himself.Mark my words any other CB we sign no matter how good will
still come and add
to a shaky defense. The problem with our defenfing is more of tactical and mental.Tactical because we play without a DM, we mark and track players poorly, the fullbacks are usually isolated leaving them
to cope alone, our passing is not good enough leaving us exposed
to counters which we aren't prepared for and no leadership and maintenance of defensive shape.
Still, it would take something special for Chelsea
to allow a world
class performer like Hazard
to move
to a title rival, so it's hard
to imagine this one will
go anywhere.
This team
still have a long way
to go till considered ginuine title contender and the pretty obvious reason is we are short of world
class giroud can score diffdifferntd of goal the striker who can be a difference when we need result we cantcantord
to depend on girogiroudgive us title I think this guy have done what he could we cant expect more from him
Cech, ospina, mertesacker, koscielny, Gabriel, coquelin, cazorla, ozil and giroud are all
going to be paramount
to that spine but I would
still like
to see a world
class striker like benzema and a rock of a player like carvalho who can play cb and dm added
to that group.
OMG, our mates are strengthening and we here debating how
to keep obviously average players like walcot, elneny, wilshere et all, Antonio conte had the balls
to tel a world
class striker like diego costa
to f *** off and we here debating mediocrity, we seem
to have short memory as arsenal fanz, thumb me down d way u like, y ’ all
gon protest nd moan and groan like last season coz as at now i see no phantom changes,
still d same old system, same old players nd d deluded one probably closed for the transfer market after signing just one out of the numerous we actually need
to compete.
But I am greatly happy that Bellerin has developed into a world
class player right in front of us... I know he
still has some way
to go buh then you can't argue is one of the best in Europe altogether...
I hate
to say it but your right we are
still about three world
class players away from really being a challenging side, Wenger has lost that cutting edge and is hoping
to get another Thierry Henry
to dine out on for the next twenty years and that's not
going to happen.
I
still don't think we
go toe
to toe with the
class of Barca, Bayern, Real, but that 11 for me is balanced and a lot closer.
So far this transfer window we have brought in 2 players, Lacazette and Kolasinac, both are extremely good players who can help our cause but because of our attacking play we are always
going to concede goals and therefore I believe we
still need a top
class CB and DM.
