before you get carried away, it's necessary to be fully aware of the disadvantages of those early
hours (apart from waking up when most other people are
still in their
beds).

I even put his mattress in our room tonight right next to our

I'm not sure if she's getting too much waketime
before that first nap... I usually go walking with her in the morning and often she'll fall asleep in the stroller and when I get home I'll put her in
bed, but I've also tried nixing the walk and scheduling just an
hour or so of waketime so she won't be as sleepy going down for a nap and she
still rises early.

still to this day co-sleep for at least a few

Instead, I'd lie in

before bed would be better for both of us.

hour prior to bedtime, there was
still a modest improvement in sleep quality.
Even though I work late and have a robust family life, I always find at least half an
hour in the nighttime, usually
before bed, to be
still and breathe.
But as a college student I couldn't justify getting glasses as I
still felt insecure in them so I didn't get any new ones with a new prescription til I actually met my husband and would you believe it he wore glasses as well as contacts and almost forced me to get new glasses and wear them, even if only at night a few
hours before bed.
These days, Glen is lucky to spend an
hour with his kids after work
before they're off to
bed (Jennifer is
still on maternity leave).
Maybe you can fit in an
hour with a glass of wine and
still have time to unwind afterward
before bed.
I try my best to focus on spending quality time with her for 2
hours when I get home
before putting her to
bed, and in the morning
before I go to work, but
still, the guilt is overwhelming.
