No to Sterling, get the best out of the Alexis deal, and use that money, and more if needed, to get draxler, offer him 250 a week, since we can't offer him champions league football, but my problem is that whoever we sign, wenger will
still play them out of position..

I only wish to focus on those who can
play in the CF
position (as that's what everyone's getting bent
out of shape about) but it is clear we have wide players who can score and we have players who can do so from midfield, some
of whom are
still developing — like Wilshere, Ramsay, the Ox — and from whom most
of expect to see more and more this season.
If we start this season with those two in our starting 11 it will be a clear sign from this organization that nothing has changed and that we will never get it right until both Kroenke and Wenger are gone... neither one
of these players should
still be with our club at this point because they represent the settling half - measures that have plagued this team for a number
of years... this is what I call the «no man's land»
of the soccer world, where teams don't have enough talented young players, unlike a Monaco or Dortmund, because they have lost the plot from an organizational standpoint... they are so reliant on one individual to run the whole operation that their once relevant scouting department has become so antiquated that it can no longer find those hidden gems it once had... furthermore, when you leave all decision - making to a manager who despises any dissenting opinions, your management team becomes little more than a stagnant group
of «yes men» and no new ideas emerge... so instead
of developing a team with the qualities necessary to excel in a particular system, you continually make half - brain purchases year after year to stifle dissent from the ticket - buying public, then try desperately to finagle together a lineup regardless
of what would make positional sense... have you ever heard
of a team who
plays players
out of position so often...
of course not because that manager would likely be fired and never work for a team
of any consequence ever again

Of course, losing wingers Robben and Ribery will have forced his hand slightly here, but it still shows a lack of a Plan B that Pep couldn't bring out a similar threat from other players like Gotze and Muller, who can both play wide, or indeed use Lahm in his preferred position of right - back and utilise his quality from there — in fact, the former Germany captain's use as a midfielder since this manager's arrival is one of many examples of his attempts at tactical innovation going wron

, basing on today's game performance and result it only showed me one thing; Wenger will never learn (he is old enough to adjust to the new changes
of the game), wether we buy new players, he will
play them
out of position still, he will
still wait untill the 75 minute to make a sub!

out of Monreal at his highest ability, before age starts to

position, or if a new player is needed.
Ozil made a bit
of a bad decision as the ball was
played in by trying to cut it
out when he was never getting there, but that doesn't shield Mert who stood
still while Finnbogason knocked a beach football flick around him, or Ospina's

No EPL + early exits from the ECL 8 months injury and constantly
played out of position and feeding Giroud and Wellbeck He is probably

why was Sead not
playing... if he's not better than the little engine that couldn't at left - back or Bellerin
playing out of position, why did we get him in the first place... his size would have provided some much needed muscle against an undersized Liverpool front line while his speed would have made those in wide
positions play more honestly... I
still believe that Wenger was once again punishing the fans for not being satisfied with what had transpired so far in the current window... no matter what the reasons, the decision was indicative
of the ineptitude
of this manager against top ranked opponents
For crying loud some pundits are right, most fans are right.our decline has been the negligence from the manager to stop being stubborn and get an imposing DM who give us solidity and confidence lost.the cbs are always exposed and lack

Cech's better days are behind him but he is

of Ospina in my view.We need a Top Tier GK next season and Oblak is being touted and this is the type
of quality we need to introduce in ALL
positions that need strengthening.Next season I would have the following pecking order for our keepers Oblak (or similar quality) Cech - He would relish a No2 roll with the cup games to keep him sharp Martinez - He will get his opportunities and follows Cech to No2 roll after 1or2 seasons Macey - loaned
out for season Ospina - Too good not to
play regularly but NOT good enough to be AFC No.Sell him and let him enjoy some game time
I don't always understand why he sets up a team the way he does, or why some players are
played out of position, but it seems some
of the biggest teams in Europe have and
still rate him.
Whether draxler or not arsenal is
still a weaker team, is it something bad if we have both draxler and Sanchez in the same team fighting for places, just imagine van persie, Sanchez, ozil, carzola are in the same team, with likes
of inform konsieny, mustafi, and konlansinic, and good holding midfider,... our problem with this 343 information or 3421 information apart from Wenger
playing players
out of position we don't have a strong holdmidfider that retrieve the ball back when we lost possession... Kant's is perfect example
of that, look at the job he does at Chelsea is amazing...... without a good holding midfielder our defenders are vulnerable
After pen to paper is done its business as usual back to 4 -5-1 Giroud up top Holding benched, come March the excuses we didn't expect Cazorla to
still be
out Koscielnys red card was harsh Europa league is tougher than we expected the players are fatigued after a return to form in mid April I believe this team has unbelievable mental strength we have an fa cup final to
play 18 other club would love to be in our
position judge me at the end
of the season.
Not to be to brash I can't believe there is
still fans
out here that think it matters if there loud or loyal when we all know Wenger is the master
of turning a good team into a mediocre team and loves diminishing there confidence by

Sloppy passing, an unfocused defence and a team
playing consistently
out of shape — sums up the game for Arsenal... we
still need to strengthen in key
positions, whilst having patience with the players we already have.
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better
position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition
of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release
of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that
still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state
of affairs on a
position - by -
position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid
of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people
still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that
position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy
of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid
of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid
of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan
out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction
of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return
of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort
of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative
of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition
of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle
of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any
of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind
of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack
of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result
of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest
of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands
of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none
of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club
of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid
of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field
of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version
of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history
of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker
position falls once again squarely at the feet
of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival
of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone
of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players
of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that
of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part
of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet
of those who were well aware all along
of the potential pitfalls
of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
never waste CAPITAL LETTERS on an article about Chambers at this juncture... I
still can't believe that no one from management has ever explained why such a frugal club spent so much money on him in the first place... we haggle for months and years with clubs for players who could have a monumental impact on the very future
of our club but somehow we found $ 16 million for someone who couldn't regularly crack a Southampton lineup (very fishy)... don't get me wrong, I like what he showed at times last season in Middlesbourogh but from the handful
of games I watched him
play I
still have some serious questions about his consistency as a back - line player in the EPL; as such he should prove himself on loan for another season, making sure that he goes to a team that wants him in the starting 11... bottom line, let's not get bogged down with the semantics
of peripheral players and focus on the real task at hand = figure
out who the hell is going to be our starting 11 for the foreseeable future, which means getting contracts signed, getting rid
of a lot
of deadwood and bringing in talented players into the
positions which truly need upgrading... the rest is just unnecessary noise
Agreed he looked
out of sorts and Insufficiently interested
still has those world class touches and lay offs inc a perfect tee up for Ramsey who like a donkey skied it over the bar... Wasn't helped by having wilshere
playing a weird forward
position and while wilshere
played well it seemed to destabilize ozil... Stupid to
play ozil miki wilshere and Ramsey... Latter is a bench player but wenger's darling so he's willing to disrupt team to get him on the pitch... And it seems xhaka has entered the chosen circle as it is clear that elneny right now is a better alternative
One thing I will say though is that at times and
still today Wenger has a knack to
play players
out of position in places they have no business being and long term, it kills the confidence in you.
Still think he is more capable
of hitting the ole onion bag and it wouldn't be the first time Wenger
played players
out of their natural
positions is it now?

That probably
still can't be seen as a positive season for some given their league
positioning as they look set to miss
out on the top five, but with the likes
of Herrera, Valencia and Mkhitaryan set to
play major roles next season, they'll likely be joined by marquee summer recruits to help them improve.

Rooney is being
played out of position, and whilst he always gives 100 %, he is

But
still, expect Promes and Samedov to endanger the defensively dodgy Moreno and Joe Gomez likely
playing out of position at right - back.
Oh well now on to the next game i
still think walcott and rvp will start the game, that's the reason i think wenger withdrew them 20 mins before time, fabregas to miss
out expect rosicky to take his place, and i think wilshire cant
play that many games within the space
of so many days so i think he will be rested and it will be arshavin or diaby, i did say it would be Arshavin for about 65 mins or so then diaby would come on, and the trio
of arshavin nasri and rosicky to keep interchanging
positions like they did against villa, would have loved to see bendtner yesterday rather than chamakh but its all well that ends well..
