Instead
of simply going to one
of those stores and buying your materials with your
credit card (where you would probably earn 1
point or mile per dollar spent), if you have a Chase Ink
credit card, head on over to Staples or Office Depot,
stock up on Home Improvement gift
cards to the amount you need (you'll earn 5
points / dollar spent on the gift
cards) and then spend those on the materials you need at the home improvement stores.
In the

stock of what's in your wallet and re-examine your
points earning
credit card strategy.
In general, this
card is about diversifying your
stock of points and using them for the purchases that normal airline miles or
credit card points can't cover.
As always, that means taking inventory
of my current
credit card portfolio, giving a long, hard look to the
cards I am carrying, and weeding out a few before replenishing my
stock with a new set
of points - earning
credit cards.

of the store • Guide customers through the payment procedure by taking cash or processing
credit cards in exchange
of sold items • Handle refunds and exchanges and associated paperwork • Balance cash registers at the end
of the shift and make sure that there is sufficient change available for the next shift • Order merchandise and make sure that newly received items are placed on shelves appropriately • Arrange store and window displays for products on promotion • Ensure that any discrepancies are communicated to the manager immediately • Take and resolve customers complaints and relay complicated ones to the supervisor
