If there is a recession and a
stock market
dip, you presumably have the flexibility to hold
on to them longer for the economy to recover.
These are probably safer than municipal bonds, but rising interest rates would have a similar effect
on asset pricing — water
stocks would take a
dip in a rising rate environment.
You can't look a
stock chart every day and determine to sell based
on a
dip in

And if you're really sure you can live comfortably the rest of your life
on Social Security, your pension and other assured income sources without
