And lest you think this post is about finger -
pointing, I have no doubt
in my
mind that if my own assumptions and prejudices go totally unchecked, if I never
stop for a moment to consider the other side and wonder if I might be wrong, I too am capable of using the Bible to my own ends, of convincing myself that God is on my side.
What I have particularly
in mind is that while there is much talk about taking Jesus as a key to the interpretation of human nature, as it is often phrased, or to the meaning of human life, or to the
point of man's existential situation, there is a lamentable tendency to
stop there and not to go on to talk about «the world» — by which Miss Emmet meant, I assume, the totality of things including physical nature;
in other words the cosmos
in its basic structure and its chief dynamic energy.
Tommy God has already forgiven you for your sin the moment you asked Jesus into your life and confessed him as Lord. From that
point he paid for your sin
in full past present future. It is not sin that
stops us from being with the Lord so you are saved. The problem you are experiencing is the battle for your life
in the here and now satan is out to destroy you and he knows our weaknesses. If you are honest there were already issues
in your life that you struggled with and never got the victory over.So where do you go from here as i found myself
in the same situation i was a christian but walking according to the flesh.God does nt change his
mind he always loves us but because of our choices we distance ourselves from God.The issue is that we like sin thats our wicked hearts and to be fair we cant change our nature only Christ can do that our old nature must be crucified with Christ. The stumbling block is our pride we have to admit that we cant do it For me that was terribly difficult i was so independent thinking i could do anything but the truth was a made a real mess of things.I sense you are at a crossroads and are feeling desperate and confused. So as a brother
in the Lord you need to confess your sin to God and tell him that you are weak -LCB- we all are -RCB- and that you cant do it
in your strength -LCB- None of us can -RCB- but ask him to send the holy spirit to help you deal with the temptations and the sin that you struggle with and he will help you to change your life he will empower you as he did me.Rather than look at who you are look to Christ and walk
in him and he will make you a new man and sin will not have dominion over you.Jesus came to set us free from bondage.Having once been a slave to sin i know what it is like to have been set free by the power of God and that is what Christ is offering you today. All it takes is a desire to change or repent and admit we cant do it and trust him to give you the strength to walk
in him regards brentnz
To Ken Margo: I am totally agree with you about this evil thing going around the earth... this evil
minded people is there everywhere regardless of faith... that was not what i was trying to say... my
point was to be able to recognize the One True God who is Unseen and who has no partners as He is not
in need of any partners but we the creation is
in need of Him... thats all... I wish I could do something to
stop all these taking place around the earth... I think we human fear the fed laws more than we fear the laws of our Creator, for example not to associate any partner with Him, taking the life of others, drug dealing, human trafficking, believing
in hereafter and so on... I remember a story that I was talking with one of my friends... I was telling him look we all obey the law of the land so much like for example when we drive and no one moves even an inch when there is a school bus
stop to pick / drop kids as it is a fed laws but when it comes to the laws of our Creator, we don't care... like having physical relationship outside of marriage and many more... then he said something nice... he said that its because we see the consequence of breaking the law of the land but we do not see the punishment of hereafter even though it is mentioned very details
in Quran, it even gives pictures of hereafter....

stop killing so many animals (which God also admitted He never wanted
in the first place because that was not the
point), and also that God would eventually wipe out the old system and write his law on their hearts and
minds so that they could finally follow him without making so many mistakes and messing up everything.

in it for me, to give up my grudges and learn to diffuse hatred with love, to
stop judging other people once and for all, to care for the poor and seek out the downtrodden, to finally believe that stuff can't make me happy, to give up my urge to gossip and manipulate, to worry less about what other people think, to refuse to retaliate no matter the cost, to be capable of forgiving to the
point of death, to live as Jesus lived and love as Jesus loved, one word came to my
mind: liberation.
