stopped going to church about 10 years ago after a wonderful pastor moved on to a different church in a different town.

I thought
about it every single day, nearly quit college, saw a psychiatrist and had
to stop going to this
church because my family saw what was
going on and blamed them even though it was my own doing.
so we can all
stop judging eachother and start encouraging others starting with our own family, the word does say that you and your household will be saved, but thats
to much like work its easier
to play christian around your
church you belong
to and play follow the leader and
go around telling people that God loves them tell them all
about how they are sinners you know the bit, an thats it
go home and freak out on your famliy members because their not save like you maybe they are and you cant even tell because they do nt measure up
to your
churches standards even though God says we have all fallen short and that our rightousness is filthy rags, we need
to stop useing the word of God as though we think we know what were doing, do you really think that when God said I will give you all authority He ment you?
Because even these well intentioned folks would never consider
going to a black or hispanic
church... we want them
to tone down their spirited religion and
stop talking
about poverty and social justice.
I just
stopped caring,
stopped going, I decided
to forget
about Church and just follow Jesus.
One of the reasons I
stopped going to ministerial meetings is that it sucks when people ask you the numbers question and when I talk
about our
church you get the impression they now want
to go talk
to a real pastor with a real (ie.
