If you can find raw
storebought sauerkraut (not the kind that is cooked or pasteurized) it is effective, but making it yourself allows you to control the amount of sodium it contains.
I've never been a huge fan of
storebought sauerkraut... I mean, I tolerated it in some recipes, but didn't exactly crave it.
I like
storebought sauerkraut, but the best ever is when my husband makes it from scratch.
