I've had two
stories about libraries published this year, one in Eating My Words, the official anthology
of National Flash Fiction Day, and the
other in Change The Ending, which used flash fiction to foster positive outcomes for
local government — an unusual and inventive use
of fiction!
In addition, public libraries should be sources
of recreation for young people and
others and provide
story - telling hours and
other local programming.
There are numerous ways to go about this, and the strategies we use will depend on factors such as an author's background; how well he or she is already known; what the book is about; its selling scope — international, national, regional,
local; who we'll be marketing the book to; current news,
stories, trends; the author's availability to travel; and a host
