Let me illustrate why by continuing
my story about that ministry.
Not exact matches
In 1995, before leaving on a
ministry trip to Australia, I read a true
story about a seminary student who struck up a conversation with a teenager who had been living on the streets of Melbourne.
As I read the documents / evidence released by R.L. Stollar, I was struck
about how Julie's
story is very similar to my
story as well as many others I encounter in my
ministry to infidelity survivors.
The
stories about Jesus which are recorded in the gospels, had first been told and retold in the teaching and preaching
ministry of the church.
It is also impressive that before these true
stories about Jesus were written down (in that 27 - 30 year period) Christians would sort of have «
story time» and orally present the events we find in the Gospels, and there was absolutely no room for fluffing up the
story or saying something false because during that time, people who actually witnessed Jesus»
ministry were still alive and would have quickly corrected the mistakes.

stories from Michigan to Uganda, Texas to ancient Israel, to bring the conversation
about women and
ministry to life.
By that time various legends
about Jesus were growing steadily, such as that of the Virgin Birth, and the more miraculous
stories of what he did during his earthly
ministry.
He concluded that the disciples, distraught by the unexpected end to the
ministry of Jesus, stole his crucified body, concocted the
story of his Resurrection and turned the message of Jesus into the message
about Jesus.

stories, insights, and advice
about leaving the
ministry.
As for the reports of the «witnesses» during Jesus» lifetime, the
stories told
about him, the reports of his teaching, his sayings, parables, interpretations of the Law, controversies with the scribes, and the application of Old Testament laws and prophecies — all this was undoubtedly orientated and controlled by the eschatological outlook of his teaching and
ministry as a whole, but also undoubtedly it lacked the sharpness of focus which the Resurrection was later to give it.
When we recognize the original point as that of the contrast between the handful of seed and the bushels of harvest, and when we set the parable finally in the context of the proclamation of God acting as king in the experience of men confronted by the message and
ministry of Jesus, what is the significance of a
story about a Palestinian peasant who sows handfuls of seed and, despite all the agricultural vicissitudes of that time and place, gathers in bushels of harvest?
But instead of being with Jesus, instead of sitting down and speaking to him
about His
ministry, instead of hearing
stories about all the amazing miracles He performed, she busies herself around the house.
