As an old goth from the Gulf Coast, I'm all about a good scary
story in a tropical setting, and this one does it right.
I love to set
my stories in tropical settings which can be so romantic.

Set with the invasion of Tahiti by the English — and invasion is probably the incorrect, impolite term here, as evidenced by their exploration and later gathering of
tropical plants; of course, once the captain of the ship rapes the daughter of the tribal king, it's an invasion — the
story follows the drama back
in England surrounding the mysterious deaths of several members of the ship's crew when they return from the island addicted to «leaf.»
I also write
stories set in Florida, and this
tropical flavor adds a layer of depth to my work.

The second version of BioShock was also quite different from the finished product
in terms of
story and
setting, as it was
set on a
tropical island where a secret Nazi laboratory had been discovered that time around.
I didn't really get into its sequel, Lost Planet 2, all that much, because like many others, I felt the lack of a proper single - player
story line and the switch to a
tropical setting (
in a Lost Planet game, no doubt!)
