While they physically appear different than I, they
too have
stories of wanting to move on in their
lives and away from a time that has passed.
In reference to non-historical figures, Gary Habermas states «In each
of these cases we find numerous problems such as a decided lack
of historical data, reports that are far
too late or
stories about mythical personages who never
lived.»
I think I'm
too simple in my thinking that; if you don't like it, DO N'T WATCH... if you don't agree with it, DO N'T CHOOSE TO
LIVE YOUR LIFE THAT WAY... Seems like a very simplistic way of thinking, but I have personal opinions on EVERYTHING, but I don't force others to live their lives according to my moral fiber... i don't judge people for living their lives the way that makes them happy... And i believe that IGNORANCE is the basis for INTOLERANCE... people are famous for HATING things that they don't understand... again, if it MORALLY offends you, don't read stories on things that you don't agree with, don't watch shows that portray choices that you don't agree with... In studying those topics they learn about many a congregation's
life, and they learn
too that there are alternatives to the merely contemporary and local
stories of a church.

stories, your shared laughter, your «you,
too?
But we have to be careful
of ascribing
too much passivity to Mary's role in the Advent
story and in the
life of Jesus.
The modern individual has

of his distant horizons, much as he once had.76 For Lewis, a
story was the embodiment
of, or mediation
of, the «more.»
I heard more
of their intersecting
stories, and when Idelette was done talking about her book, about her passions, I wanted to see her on every stage
of every slick Christian conference, to bring some mama - truth, to preach the Gospel
of Being With Each Other, but then I kind
of had to shrug because part
of Idelette's power is that she's outside
of that system, outside
of that church - marketing world,
too busy
living the truth
of it to package it.
Those
stories reveal truths that other tales only report — that darkness is real, but so,
too, light; that death will come but that
life will triumph; that the universe has moral structure and that we are part
of it.
Craddock,
too, in Overhearing the Gospel (1978), endorsed «narrative» sermons — not that narrative should replace logic, or that sermons consist only
of stories, but that the sermon has «the scope that ties it to the
life of a larger community» and touches «intellectual or emotional or volitional» concerns while «conveying the sense
of movement from one place to another» and «thinking alongside the hearers.»
I could frame every page but the
story of a woman just simply
living her
life in the beautiful way that suits her is it's own
story,
too.
We,
too, are
living at the end
of the
story; we — as were the apostles — are engaged in the second, christotelic reading by virtue
of our eschatological moment, the last days, the inauguration
of the eschaton.
Even Mark Mathabane, the mild - mannered tennis player turned writer who is author
of the best - selling autobiography Kaffir Boy, offended the government with the simple, powerful
story of his boyhood, and he,
too, now
lives in the U.S.
Which illustrates the problem with Gladwell perfectly: crafting a series
of stories into a compelling argument is not easy;
life is
too messy for that.
If we could learn to indwell the
stories about these actions and allow them to sweep our own present
lives into their schematizing
of historical existence, then we
too could more consciously become children
of the promise.
They
too have a
story to tell, and often it is one
of discovering that applying the teaching
of scripture to their
lives has become Good News to them.
For me I will also say this, the bible is a
living testimony
of how God spoke and walked with people and the
stories too are inspiring but
life in Christ is way more than studying the bible.
We should not be overly concerned with internal ambiguities, remembering the underlying multiple sources and the relatively fluid status
of the developing text; and remembering
too that they who developed the
story were not primarily concerned with factual details, but rather with the dominant themes and their enduring meaning in the
life of the people
of Israel.
But sociobiology tells
too banal a
story to be able to account for radical altruism — the ethical imperative that leads a person to risk his or her own
life in the attempt to save an unknown and unrelated stranger from the danger
of death.
As Christ was sent, so
too are we commissioned to go forth under the sign
of his cross into the marketplaces
of our contemporary society, equipped to tell the
story encapsuled in John 3:16: «For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal
life.»

life integration and the regrets they have experienced when they have not achieved it; and they must engage others to tell their
