with edamame and roasted cashews added plus a random but very tasty sourdough biscuit that someone at work made paired with the
local strawberry rhubarb jam, of course.
With rich flavor from the tangy kefir, nutty whole wheat flour and hint of coconut, these biscuits are so delicious you might just skip the butter (although with a
little strawberry rhubarb jam — wow!).
I decided to make it more «spring» by
using strawberry rhubarb jam (store bought, but if you'd like to try your hand at homemade this recipe is one of my favorites) instead of just plain strawberry and using almond extract instead of vanilla.
Even if I do, it gets eaten before I can take pics — case in point Steve's birthday cake which was a deliciously light, fluffy, summery, 4 layers of chiffon packed
with strawberry rhubarb jam, and covered with strawberry whipped cream!
Also, I really love the tart and sweet taste
of strawberry rhubarb jam; however, if you prefer things on the sweeter side, then you will definitely want to add more sugar to this recipe.
And now I want to see if I can get some of
that strawberry rhubarb jam you mentioned too.

that strawberry rhubarb jam sounds FANTASTIC.
Okay, so just for the heck of it while I was spreading on the jam, I decided to only do half of it with
the strawberry rhubarb jam and a opened a jar of fig preserves that I have had in the cupboard and spread that on the other half.
Spread
your strawberry rhubarb jam on toast or serve it warm over vanilla ice cream or add it to your favorite yogurt and granola.
My grandmother used to make

To my pleasant surprise,
